Scope and Content

From [Sarah?] Perrin in Ludlow, Shropshire, to Charles Wesley in London, re Mr Gwynne's invitation for her to call.

Many people in Lemster [Leominster?,Herefordshire] are inclined to hear God's word. She visited Samuel last week and spoke to about fifty people, who had gathered specially for the occasion. They appeared very receptive, and she intends to call again on the way back from visiting the Gwynne family.

Her sister is being reviled because of her beliefs, and should be prayed for. Perrin has been made very welcome by the Ludlow Methodists, and has met with them every night during her stay. Last night they met in 'your room'.

When can Charles or his brother be expected to visit the area? Wesley should write to her at Lemster. Her sister is considering visiting Llandindrod Wells in Radnorshire, and Mr Gwynne has hopes of seeing [John] Wesley at Garth, Brecknockshire, which being the case Perrin can arrange to meet him at Builth Wells, if given adequate warning.

Betty Holmes's letter should be given to any of Charles's sisters who may be seeing her soon.

Annotated by Charles Wesley - S Perrin, labouring much in the Lord.
