Typescript copy letter from Paul Street, Bristol, to Mrs Mortimer in Camden Terrace, Kentish Town, near London, informing her of the death of Sally Wesley the previous day after an illness lasting five weeks during which she had been unable to eat due to a throat ailment.

His sister expressed a wish to be buried at Bristol alongside her infant brothers and sister. Some lines of their father's composition are to be inscribed on the plate.

Charles would be grateful if Mrs Mortimer could engage the Camden Town lodgings ready for his return.
