Scope and Content

To Mr Bingham of Uxbridge, Middlesex, re her concern over the future prospects of her twelve year old nephew [John William], whose father is about to take him away from school. The boy has sense and the capacity to learn under supervision.

She refers to another nephew [Charles Wesley), who Sally had placed at St Paul's School, and who had showed great talent, and the certainty of winning a place at Oxford. He is now apprenticed to Mr Rivers, the apothecary.
