From A Plumtree in Prospect Row, Worthing, Sussex, to York Buildings, New Road, London, agreeing with pleasure to look over Sally's manuscript, which he is sure 'will be a plain tale artlessly told, and that always pleases me'.

He has been short of money for some time, and would be grateful for a loan of £100 secured on his property. The memoir of his Irish journey should be published around christmas, and he will be able to repay the loan then.
