From Thomas Waller to Sally Wesley in Charles Street, Bristol, thanking her for the letter. Miss Chalkhill is sitting beside him reading King Lear, and sends her compliments, thanking Sally for the 'many kind letters you promised you would write'. She has been very ill but hopes to be on the mend soon.

He hopes that the Wesleys will soon be able to visit them in London.
