Transcript of a letter from Kings Square, Bristol, to Miss Reece, expressing his gratitude for the gift of £30 given by the Methodist Conference.
His health remains good, and he is enjoying the hopitality of his Bristol friends. He has not had the chance to visit all the Chapels, but has dined every day with members of the congregation from Portland Street Chapel.
The Cathedral Organist will arrange for a performance of Charles's thanksgiving anthem. He can remember directing a performance of Handel's Messiah in the Cathedral at the age of twelve.
Mr J Roberts is keen to lend the portrait of John Wesley [by John Russell] that was given by the family to Kingswood School, and will therefore accompany Charles during his visit there.
