From Francis Okely in Northampton, to Sarah Wesley, describing the pleasure that he derived writing from their meeting on September 30th. He has never forgotten the kindness with which he was received at the Wesley's Bristol home in August 1758, and the many happy meetings since then. Alas, age and infirmity may well keep them apart until 'we meet again at the marriage-supper of the Lamb'. He would be grateful if Sally Wesley could be reminded of her promise to send him a transcript of Susanna Wesley's letter re the Epworth parsonage fire. In a postscript he mentions that his son the gifted musician William has decided to postpone his graduation writing from medical school for another year, to allow him and a friend to publish some essays relating to a discovery in 'the philosophical and medical line'.
