Scope and Content

From New Street, London, to Thomas Allan in Blackheath, Kent, asking his advice about certain financial aspects of the appointment of Charles's former deputy as organist and school director on the West Indian island of St Vincent.

The young man concerned is of excellent character, and officiated as a clerk at Marylebone Church. His wife and children will remain in England when he goes overseas.

Charles himself is ignorant of such matters, but is concerned that his protege does not fall into debt.
