From Marmaduke Gwynne at Oxford, to his cousin Sally Wesley at the Foundery in Moorfields, London, informing her of his safe arrival in town at three that morning, and his hope to be able to see her and the rest of the family in about a week.

He had a dreadful journey to Oxford, with no companionship and suffering from problems with his bowells.

She must excuse the mistakes in his letter as he is in a rush, and in fact he would like her to destroy it such is his embarrassment.
