MS.Add.8891The English version of the Polyglott Bible..., London (Samuel Bagster), undated. It is interleaved with Jukes' notes, and inscribed by him 'Of the MS notes in this book, the greater part were written between 1837 and 1841. I believe none are of a later date than 1842. A. Jukes. Oct. 3 1846. Hull'. At the beginning is an alphabetical list of prayers contained in the Bible. 1 volume.

Administrative / Biographical History

Andrew John Jukes (1815-1901), theological writer, attended Trinity College, Cambridge, 1838-42. He was ordained, but only briefly held a curacy, 1842-43.
