2 volumes of letters covering the management up to the Japanese takeover of the Company and then after October 1945 on the state of the firm and plant when it was retaken from the enemy and the restoration of the firm to John Swire & Sons. The correspondence for 1947 covers the re-opening of the Company, plans for a plant in Hong Kong, advertising amongst other things
