The Felix Dennis OZ archive spans a broad range of material relating to OZ magazine, the OZ obscenity trial and Dennis' other projects including 'cOZmic Comics' and part of his personal library relating to OZ and counterculture.
The first three series relate to the production and running of the magazine and include correspondence, articles, subscription records, fan mail, business and legal papers. There is also documentation relating to the fall out after the School Kids issue and the resulting OZ trial which ultimately led to the winding down of the magazine in 1973.
The OZ mock up boards and artwork series contains original artwork with annotated printing instructions, collages and mock ups, process camera artwork and other ephemera.
The OZ obscenity trial series contains witness statements, legal papers, criminal department reports, photographs from the trial and the protests surrounding it, letters from the public and press cuttings. There are items relating to public protest such as stickers and flyers which were distributed and seen on the streets of London.
The archive also includes personal papers relating to Felix Dennis including correspondence, diaries and press cuttings.
