Autograph letter, signed,from Calcutta

Scope and Content

Gives thanks for the gift of JL's book 'The Life of Kelvin'. On his previous visit to Britain JAC had requested friends and acquaintances to send scientific papers but, with one or two exceptions, to no avail. Believes the Indian political situation is becoming volatile and cryptically discusses the problems. Is 'strongly tempted to taking up work in the field of human and economic research'.
