From Katherine Whitmore in Cotsbrook to Mary Tooth in Madeley. She heard with great pleasure yesterday evening from Betty Ward that Tooth has kindly turned her attentions to 'poor, neglected Beckbury'. She is only sorry that she cannot herselt at present attend the meetings, but the distance from the parish church and engagements with the village Sunday school renders it difficult to travel to and from Beckbury. 'In general messages from the little sisterhood of Cotsbrook to our revered friend Mrs Fletcher, and yourself, my eldest sister Mary particularly requests I would send her best regards to you for the great pleasure and comfort your kind visit gave her - the party from the vicarage returned in improved health ...'
