From Samuel Walter to Mary Tooth at Madeley. He was very grateful for the biography of Mary Fletcher and has recommended it to several people in this neighbourhood. Hopefully it will be a source of blessing.
Walter was also grateful for the little accounts of those who have recently died. It is now more than three years since he left Madeley, but he often recalls the 'satisfaction and blessing' that he had there.
In a postscript, Walter mentions that Mr Bishop has not yet succeeded, but the Bishop has promised to ordain him 'if another church can be got to serve with mine, for I do not want a full curate.'
Walter has enclosed their recently published Bible Society report. He hopes to visit Madeley in the Spring
