Administrative / Biographical History
The Reverend Caleb Joshua (1852-1923), originally from Pontypool, was minister at Pearl Street Baptist Church, Cardiff, from 1899 until his death. He left his second wife, Elizabeth, nee Freer (1869-1947)and at least one child, Francis, born 1902, of that marriage , and several others from his first marriage. In 1926 his widow bought a house in 11 Fort Street, Roath, which was damaged in the air raid of 3 March 1941.
