3 copies of a report dated 16 Jul 1910 from Mrs Fawcett to affiliated societies on negotiations with Women's Social & Political Union (WSPU) on holding of joint demonstration. Mrs Pethick Lawrence wrote again asking NUWDSS to co-operate in demonstration in Hyde Park on 23 Jul 1910. Letter received on 2 Jul 1910 asking for reply by 4 Jul 1910. Impossible to reply before 7 Jul 1910 when Mrs. Fawcett wrote accepting invitation on condition that demonstration should be peaceful, that militant tactics should not be resumed in interval and that resolution proposed should be one National Union of Women's Suffrage Societies could support. Mrs. Pethick Lawrence replied on 8 Jul 1910 that undertaking on militant tactics could not be given. Other points not mentioned. Invitation therefore declined.
