Scope and Content

Heard from Miss Wyse that none of the Birkenhead people can attend Newcastle Conference, so she will go after all. Miss Rathbone of Liverpool does wish to resign. Miss Harris is acting pro temp and would make a good secretary 'if encouraged'. Miss Roper spoke at Birkenheard Annual General Meeting recently and local Pool Law Guardian after discussion with her 'heartily joined the Society' [Hannah Mitchell?] 'Miss Roper looked very ill and coughed severely - no wonder - she wears herself out in the cause and it grieves me to see her'.
