Lease, for 99 years (if Jane Browne, wife of (ii) and Edward Browne, George Browne and Joseph Browne, sons of (ii) or any or either of them shall happen so long to live), from day of date, rent 20s yearly, 28 Sep 1692; (i) Mayor, burgesses and commonalty of city of Bristoll (Bristol), to John Browne of same city, blockmaker: Plot of ground in marsh in parish of St Stephen within city of Bristol bounded with messuage and outlet now in holding of Shadrach Cox on or towards south part and with storehouse and outlet of Theophilus Newton, now in holding of James Lollidge, merchant, on or towards north part and extending from quay towards river of From (Frome) west to outlet belonging to messuage late of William Steevens, now in holding of Abraham Birkin, merchant, on or towards east part and containing in length fifty foot or near thereabouts. And all new buildings thereon building and to be erected; Recites lease, 28 Sep (1674); (ii) will within space of twelve months next ensuing date hereof finish and complete messuage now in building on said plot of groundland in and about same shall expend so much money as with money already expended thereon shall make up and amount unto £100 at least
