Lease for 21 years from 29 September 1811, rent £23 12s 6d yearly and £23 13s 6d yearly, 21 Dec 1809; (i) Anna Maria Davies, wife of Reverend David Davies of Stokegumber, county of Somerset, clerk and Jane Ashe, late widow of Philip Griffiths and now wife of William Ashe, city of Bristol, gentleman, to (ii) George Taylor of city of Bristol, common brewer: Messuage being some time since public house called Queen Charlotte or Queen’s Head situate on quay in city of Bristol and now and for several years past in tenure of (ii); Whereas (ii) hath lately converted said messuage or some part thereof into brewhouse. Now (ii) for himself, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns doth hereby covenant, promise and agree to and with (i), their executors, administrators and assigns that he, his executors, administrators and assigns shall before expiration of terms hereby granted at his or their own proper costs and charges cause demised premises to be reinstated and put again into dwelling house and offices on same plan and in same manner and form and in so good repair and condition as premises were at time when (ii) first entered thereon and became tenant thereof
