Lease (counterpart), for 14 years, from 29 September last past before day of day hereof, rent £4 yearly, couple of capons upon every first day of January and one days work every harvest or 6d in lieu thereof and also 30s heriot by and after death of every tenant dying in possession of demised premises during said term, 24 Oct 1671; (i) Francklen Mathews of parish of Loughor, gent., to (ii) David Jones of parish of Swansea, yeoman: Half part of messuage and tenement lands called Kirginnith vach, within parish of Swansea, now in tenure of (ii) and in as large and ample manner and form as (ii) now holds as Owen John, deceased father of (ii), lately held and enjoyed same. (Except and always reserved out of this demise unto (i), his heirs and assigns all timber and all other trees and staddles whatsoever now growing or hereafter to be growing in or upon said premises or any part thereof. Also all veins and mines of coal being opened and found hereafter to be opened or found in or upon said premises or any part thereof.)
