Lease, for 99 years, if John Griffiths, youngest son of Thomas Griffiths, late of Swansea, mariner, deceased, John Hudson and Sarah Hudson, and daughter of Francis Hudson, late of Swansea, mariner, deceased or any or either of them shall so long live, from feast day of Annunciation of Our Blessed Lady the Virgin Mary (25 Mar) now last past, rent 6d yearly and couple of fat pullets to use of portreeve of said borough for time being or 1s in lieu thereof at election of portreeve on every feast of Circumcision of our Blessed Saviour during said term (1 Jan), 28 Sep 1744; (i) Burgesses of Borough of Swansea to (ii) John Mansel of same town, alderman: Bank or piece of ground lying at the Strand having back called Robinson’s Bank on north, river Tawe on east, bank formerly called Honor Bevan’s Bank on south and the Strand on west, being opposite to stable of (ii) now in possession of Elinor Shuttleton, widow and containing in breadth from middle of arch towards north 36 foot.
