Lease, for 99 years, from 29 September instant, 2s 6d for half part of every wey of coal and culm that shall be raised and landed out of said messuages, tenements and lands, garden and croft, 5s for every wey of coal and culm that shall be raised and landed out of and from close called Coed cae Stubba and so after these respective rates for any greater or less quantity than wey, each to consist of 11 tons and each ton to contain 20 hundredweight and each hundredweight 120 pounds, at all events rent of £100 yearly, 3d for every wey and so after that rate for any greater or less quantity than wey of all coal, culm and other minerals which shall be raised by (ii), his executors, administrators or assigns or any other person or persons from or out of any mines, veins, beds or seams of coal, culm or other minerals lying under lands belonging to Lucy Bowen, her heirs or assigns and which shall be carried, conveyed or taken in, upon, over or under close called Coed cae Stubba, 3 Sep 1844; (i) Anna Maria Davis of town of Swansea, widow and William Ashe of city of Bristol, gentleman and Jane, his wife, to (ii) Joseph Martin of Clyncollen, esquire: Half part of veins, mines and seams of coal and culm, upon or under messuage, tenements and lands called Glyngorse, Penyrhusva, Hengarth Vach and Tyryvron, now or lately in tenures and occupations of Evan Daniel, John Anthony, David Isaac, Benjamin Evans and others. And in upon or under cottage, garden and croft at Henllace now or lately in tenure of Mary Rees and another.
