Lease (counterpart), for lives of (ii) Rich(ar)d Davies, her son, aged 25 years or thereabouts and Mary Moyse, her daughter, wife of William Moyse of town of Swansea, master mariner, from 25 March last, for (ii) surrendering to (i) indenture of lease bearing date 29 July 1794 (see D/D SB 16/40) and £10 10s, rent £16 16s yearly, 31 Aug 1801; (i) Edward Mathews of city of Bristol, gentleman, to (ii) Mary Batten of town of Swansea, widow of Richard Batten in same town, mariner, with (iii) Gabriel Jeffreys and John Jeffreys, both of town of Swansea, gentlemen, (ii)’s attorneys: Dwelling house with outhouses and appurtenances thereunto belonging situate opposite the parade within town of Swansea now converted into several dwellings late in occupation of said Richard batten, deceased and now of (ii), her heirs and assigns to make such erections and buildings thereon as she shall think proper and convenient; Endorsed: “Premises on the Strand Swansea”
