Agreement of lease (counterpart), 3 Jun 1938; (i) Charles Hugh Gregory-Hood of Loxley Hall, county of Warwick, major (retired) in His Majesty’s Army, by his agent R A Hobbs of 7 Picton Place, Swansea, chartered surveyor and Ernest Holtham Leeder of Waterloo Street, Swansea, chartered surveyor, by his agents John M Leeder and Son of 46, Waterloo Street, county borough of Swansea, land agents and chartered surveyors, with (ii) Aneuryn Rees of Copa’r Pâl, Glais, Swansea: (i) will let to (ii) piece of land at Glais in county borough of Swansea, having frontage to road leading from Birchgrove to Clydach of 36 feet and containing 24¼ perches or thereabouts for term of one year from 24 January 1938 at rent of £2 10s for purpose of erection thereon of building hereinafter mentioned. (ii) shall forthwith commence and within period of twelve months from 24 June 1938 expend not less than £750 in erection of one good and substantial detached dwelling house or villa, but not more than one, with all suitable and necessary conveniences thereto respectively with enclosure walls in front thereof.
