Lease, for 99 years from 25 Mar last, rent £10 18s yearly, 1786; (i) Edward Mathews of city of Bristol, gentleman, to (ii) George Pengree the younger of parish of Bisham, county of Berkshire, esquire, on behalf of himself and his co-partners in copper and brass company known by name of Middle Bank Company: Parcel of land containing by estimation 2 acres or thereabout late in tenure of Hopkin Morgan. Cottage, croft and garden late in tenure of Philip Gill. Cottage and garden late in possession of Robert Hopkin, all which said premises are now in occupation of said Middle Bank Company or their undertenants. Cottage and garden now in possession of Mary Jessper and all estate of (i), his heirs and assigns of and in all that piece of uninclosed ground lying to westward of before demised premises. Together with full and free liberty to and for (ii) to build in or upon said demised premises or any part thereof any messuages or tenements or other erections whatsoever as they shall think fit. And full and free liberty, power and authority to and for (ii) and his and their executors, administrators and assigns to keep open present watercourse, gutter or canal which runs from farm called Berth Llwyd in parish of Llanrhidian through several fields of (i) being part of tenements called Aberkedy and Penylan and also through any other lands now of (i) to mill called Kent Mill in parish of Llanrhidian. All said cottages, closes of ground and premises are in parish of Llanrhidian.
