Mr T A Thompson, Chairman, passed away on 3 December 1963. Mr T J Reed took over until his resignation in August 1964. The Dairy was damaged by fire in January 1965 resulting in the loss of 2 vehicles and severe damage to another.
Inserted into the book is a hand-written letter from J Evans, Branch Secretary of the Union of Shop Distributive and Allied Workers, on USDAW headed notepaper, addressed to the Dairies' Manager. Dated 7 November 1967, a request is made for employees working on New Year's Day 1968 to be paid an extra half a day's pay. This was agreed at the meeting of 9 November.
