Collection of cuttings relating to the church of St Peter and St Paul, Gringley on theHill, Nottinghamshire, c.1932

Archive Collection

Scope and Content

Newspaper cuttings concerning the history of the church of St Peter and St Paul, Gringley on theHill, Nottinghamshire have been pasted into an exercise book. The 48 instalments of the account werecut from a periodical, probably the parish magazine of the church.

The notes which were originally made in the exercise book have been largely obliterated by thecuttings. They appear to be by two different writers, one of whom seems to be recording diaryentries in 1932 either for personal reasons or on behalf of an organisation.

Administrative / Biographical History

It has not been possible to identify the compiler of this collection. The volume used for thecuttings shows previous use by two separate writers, one of whom made entries largely in shorthand.Further investigation of these entries might provide clues about the compiler.
