A pen-facsimile of J.A. de Luc, 'Bacon tel qu'il est', made by Alfred Montagu, 66 folios. On p. i is a note, 'Copied by my Son Alfred from a Tract which I have mislaid. This ought to be appended to the French edition of Bacon B. Montagu'.

Jean Andr de Luc lived from 1727 to 1817.

Alfred Montagu was the son of Basil Montagu (1770-1851), legal and miscellaneous writer and philanthropist, by his second or third marriage.
