John Woodward: Correspondence

Scope and Content

Letters to Woodward on medical, scientific, antiquarian and theological topics, 150 items. The collection includes drafts of his replies, and a few letters between other persons which were passed on to Woodward. The principal correspondents include Dr John Allen of Bridgwater (1-25); Thomas Baker of St John's College, Cambridge (26-44); Abb Jean-Paul Bignon (50-63); Herman Boerhaave (64-70); Louis Bourget (71-76); Gisbert Cuypers (Cuperus) (95-102); and John Edwards, D.D., of Cambridge (114-122).
