Joined Harry Ferguson company in 1930 and left in 1960, remembers 1936 agreement with David Brown of Huddersfield to make Ferguson tractors. Agreement with Henry Ford, United States, to make Ferguson tractors and later difficulties with the Ford Motor Co. Efforts to find a producer in England, the recommendation to tie in with Standard and contact between Sir John Black and Harry Ferguson. The agreement for Standard to produce the Ferguson tractor in Coventry. Negotiations with Massey Harris of Canada, relating to distribution and later amalgamation. The split with Massey Harris. Firm bought Ferguson’s interest and he left c. 1955. 27 minutes.
