Christ Church National School was opened c.1860 and located in Grimsbury. At this time Grimsbury was a chapel of ease to South Banbury, Christ Church parish, but when St Leonard's Church was built the school was renamed St Leonard's Primary School. According to the Kelly's Directory for 1887 the average attendance at this time was 240 pupils. Please see S20/2 for records of St Leonard's Church of England School.
The log books were received as accession 3960 in April 1995. The plans were formerly catalogued as T/SL 6.
