Autograph music manuscript, in pencil, including discarded passages. Dated by Britten: 'November 10th 1968' (f. 20v).

  • Title page (f. 1): 'Kinderkreuzzug 1939 (Brecht) / For Boy's [sic] voices (solo & chorus) / 2 pianos & percussion / (with electric organ to support voices)';
  • list of voice parts (f. 1v);
  • setting in German (ff. 2-20v);
  • discarded draft passages (ff. 21-26v), identified in pencil at the foot of folios by Britten-Pears Library;
  • title page: 'Voice part' (f. 27);
  • voice parts set in English (ff. 28-31v);
  • inserted verse, in English, with date '20 Nov. 68' at the head of the folio (f. 32);
