Scope and Content

This collection includes a translation from the French of a work on Brazilian Indians; Danish-English vocabularies; correspondence, 1867-1917; a translation from the Latin by Edwin J. Hartland; a copy of George Laurence Gomme: The Handbook of Folklore; lists and notes relating to anthropology, folklore, etc.

Edwin Stanley Hartland (1848-1927) was sometime President of the Folklore Society and author of numerous books, essays and papers, chiefly on archaeological and anthropological subjects.
