Administrative / Biographical History
Major C.H.F. Blake (fl 1920-1990) was present in Malaya during the Japaneseoccupation, 1942-1945. He also served in Malaya as District Officer, was stationed at Government House, Singapore in 1948, and later held the post of Secretary of the Perak State War Executive Committee during the MalayanEmergency, 1948-1960. He was the author of A view from within. the last years of British rule in South-East Asia (Castle Cary, Mendip Publishing, 1990).
