Scope and Content

Five documents about Robert Burns (1759-1796) as a religious man, written by James MacMorland. Four typed and annotated documents, including two which are titled as Scottish Song before Burns and The Faith of Robert Burns. There is also a handwritten copy of The Faith of Robert Burns. Two other documents are notes for essays on Burns and the Bible, some of which are printed on the reverse of blank forms for Church of Scotland Schedules For Collections Appointed By The General Assembly for 1922 and 1923. It is unclear if these essays were for publication or intended to be delivered in a service.
