The Strines Journal, volume 5, nos 41 (Jan 1856-Sep 1858), 42 (Sep-Nov 1858), 43 (Nov-Dec 1858), 44 (Jan-Mar 1859), 45 (Mar 1859-Oct 1860) and 46 (Oct-Dec 1860), dedicated to Oliver Heywood, esq.

Illustrated with 2 photographs by 'J. S.' [Joseph Sidebotham], of Raphael's Madonna and Child (from an engraving), and the Dickinson Testimonial, and 68 other illustrations by John M. Gregory, 'J. W.' [Joel Wainwright] and James Nasmyth: ink drawings in imitation of engravings and etchings, watercolours, drawings in ink and coloured or monochrome washes, either pasted in, or applied directly to the page. Many are highly accomplished. There are also decorative initial letters and title pages.
