In 1998, concern over the legal status of the Officers' Mess trusts, and over the fate of Mess property should the Regiment ever be disbanded, led to a review of the trusts. Colonel George made a significant contribution to the review. The material includes copies of trust deeds of 1907, 1938 and 1969, copies of correspondence 1923, 1926, and 1980, and copies of legal precedents; correspondence with the Charity Commissioners; legal advice from solicitors.
