William Wynne of Wern near Penmorfa, Caernarfonshire was descended from the Wynn family of Glyn and Sylfaen in Merioneth and from the Wynnes of Peniarth. The father of Willam Wynne married into the Glynne family of ?Edeirnion, Merioneth.
