Scope and Content

55 scrapbooks containing professional and personal material including diary entries, his own articles and other press cuttings, magazines, printed material re cycling and pop music, travel souvenirs, photographs and personal momentoes. The volumes contain loose items. Collection also includes 5 folders of cuttings, souvenirs, etc.and a DVD.

Administrative / Biographical History

Roger St Pierrre was born in Dorset and grew up in Essex. At an early age he developed a passion for cycling and at 15 he was asked to write a regular column on cycling for the Romford Recorder. This blossomed into a career in journalism during which he wrote for a number of papers on cycling, popular music, travel, motoring and other subjects. He was a prolific writer and editor (also writing under the name Peter Kent) and worked as a promotion man in the music industry.
