Administrative / Biographical History

The Rev. Griffith Richard Jones (b. 1892) was a Calvinistic Methodist minister. He was the son of R. G. and Mary Jones of Carmel, Caernarfonshire. He was apprenticed as a chemist in 1910, but after serving as a nurse during the First World War, 1916-1919, he trained to become a Calvinistic Methodist minister. He was married in 1923 and in the same year became minister of Llandderfel and Cefnddwysarn CM churches, Merionethshire. He retired in about 1960 and returned to live in Caernarfon.
