Llandyfaelog Parish Council records

Records relating to Llandyfaelog Parish, Carmarthenshire, 1782-1956, including vestry books, 1782-1919; Parish Council minute books, 1894-1948; records relating to the Poor rate, 1839-1926; receipts, 1834-1918; minutes regarding highways, 1835-1851; valuation list, 1897-1922; and maps and plans, 1842-1956.

Pre-1894 monthly parish vestry meetings dealt with ecclesiastical matters, rate books, and accounts. Parish councils were established by the Local Government Act 1894. Community councils replaced parish councils under the local government reorganization in 1974.

Arranged into the following: vestry books; minute books; poor rate; receipts and miscellaneous; maps and plans; rate books; receipt and payment book; minutes regarding highways; valuation list; and postage books.
