Administrative / Biographical History
James Ferguson Boyd studied medicine at Glasgow University, gaining his MB ChB in 1948, MD (with Commendation) in 1960, FRCP Edinburgh, 1966, FRCP Glas 1975 and FRCPath, 1973. He was formerly Senior Lecturer in the Pathology of Infectious Diseases at Glasgow University and Honorary Consultant in Pathology at Ruchill Hospital.
