Scope and Content

LETTER: T.G. Owen, Presbyterian Church, Oakfield Road, Liverpool to E. Madoc Jones. His nephew Griffith Owen Chambers, who was at Beaumaris School some years ago, is staying with him reading for London Matriculation. He goes in for this examination in September next and so far he has not been able to get the help he needs. If the conditions are favourable he might return to Beaumaris for the next two or three months. If he could be accepted he would like a room to himself for study or shared only by others preparing for some such examination, and would like to be able to consult the teachers whenever convenient. He speaks of Mr. Madoc Jones in such glowing terms that Mr. Owen may be tempted to send his own boy to him some day. He is anxious to get through Matric in September so as to proceed in the medical line. He will cycle to Beaumaris to see Mr. Madoc Jones to find out what's required.
