Arnott wishes to know why Mackenzie has not written. Arnott has been away and returned to London to find Walker away on the continent again. Mr Monro called with money for Mackenzie. Arnott has seen Gordon and the Journal will be ready today. Gordon “has done wonders” in producing it. Comments on an article that Gordon showed him entitled “German criticisms on English Ophthalmology.”

Requests Mackenzie to send his manuscript lectures on the eye and also to let him know if Walker is in Paris as he requires eyes.
