1) Jesus College.
2) Thomas Briscoe.
BOND: In the sum of £1000 for the payment of Thomas Davies as curate of Holyhead, following the death of the Rev. Capel Whitmore Blashfield who held the preferment for the term of his natural life (using part of revenue from the same, together with interest on £4545 which has accrued in the College Chest from the Fellowship money set aside for Edward Jones) provided Thomas Davies promises not to complain of occasional annual shortfalls and vacates his fellowship.
(Except that the clause about occasional shortfalls is omitted and a new clause that the College should pay for the repair of the chancel at Holyhead).
[Edward Jones was a lunatic elected probationary Fellow of the College in 1823 but unable either to become a full Fellow the following year, or to resign. The College paid Jones' annual stipend to his family, but placed the difference between a probationary Fellow's and a full Fellow's salary on the College Chest].
