Scope and Content

Baxter’s reply to DWL/RB/1/198. The latter part is confusedly written and some of the leaves are misplaced. ff 193-4 (partly blank) and 197 have no original foliation; the last on (197) contains a list of ‘The contents’ referring to Baxter’s foliation. ff 190-191 are but narrow slips, they appearing to have been cut off and cancelled by the author. Includes: ‘Sir uppon the perusall of this later part of your writing, I find it easyer to discover the matter & sence, than the Principium vel finem.’ f 199v: ‘ffinitur Octob. 22˚ 1651˚’
