Middle portion of a letter, signed ‘E.P.’ ( Edward Pearse or Pierce, d. 1694, Rector of Cottesbrooke, Northants), dated 23 December [1687]. Includes: ‘Some day of the following week, I mett the Carpenter & spoke kindly to him, of the matter, & warnd him against his practices, & what they would grow to.’
