Scope and Content

Undated materials perhaps relating to a joint presentation by Eric Crozier and Nancy Evans regarding Britten's Canticles, with the texts for numbers 3 and 5 marked up for performance by Crozier and Evans.

Also included are:

- typescript reflecting on a range of Britten works from June 1947-June 1948 (Albert Herring, Canticle No. 1, A Charm of Lullabies, Saint Nicolas, the proposed Gandhi Requiem, The Beggar's Opera and The Little Sweep)

- photocopy of a chapter on 'The Life and Poetry of Francis Quarles' from 'The Poetical Works of Richard Crashaw and Quarles' Emblems' marked with a post-it note as read 'Sept 47'

- manuscript notes by Crozier and Evans
