Lecture notes given by John W Pirie on Greek plays, comparative philogy, Latin verbs, comparative syntax and Egyptian scripts. None of the lecture notes are dated.

Administrative / Biographical History

John W Pirie began his teaching career as an assistant in Humanity at Glasgow University in 1914. He was commissioned to the army in December 1914 and returned to Glasgow University in 1919 to lecture in Humanity and Comparative Philology until his death on 20 March  1947  .
